About ITEM
The ITEM, affiliated with Maastricht University, is an interdisciplinary institute tackling the challenges of border regions through research, policy advice, knowledge exchange, and training activities. At ITEM, knowledge, connecting, and cooperation form the foundation of its mission to address cross-border mobility and cooperation challenges while generating tangible societal impact.
ITEM’s role in WinWin4WorkLife
The WinWin4WorkLife project began, ITEM will contribute with its specific knowledge regarding policy and regulation and the implications for hybrid working in border regions, and thus continue to work on better embedded hybrid working in cross-border regions.
Remote Work Experience
Marjon Weerepas, Professor at ITEM, shares her perspective:
“During the pandemic, I missed the daily cooperation with colleagues and students. However, the ability to organize my own time was a clear positive. Ensuring the wellbeing of employees and creating feasible agreements are key to successful and sustainable remote work arrangements.”
