About UNIZA
With over 70 years of educational excellence, UNIZA is one of Slovakia’s top institutions, known for a diverse range of study programmes and international research initiatives. Originally focused on transport and communications, UNIZA has grown to cover disciplines across seven faculties, providing education to over 7,400 students. The university plays a key role in national and international research, with 15 scientific centers and collaborations in more than 60 countries, and it is a leading participant in Erasmus exchange programmes.
UNIZA’s role in WinWin4WorkLife
UNIZA leads the data management and collection efforts for WinWin4WorkLife, designing surveys for employers and employees and analysing results. Team members from several UNIZA departments contribute expertise in concept definition, spatial and environmental impact forecasting, and transport modeling, especially in the Slovak case study.
Remote Work Experience
Christina Georgouli, researcher in UNIZA’s team, shares her perspective:
“Working remotely from my hometown (Thessaloniki, Greece) with occasional travel to Žilina offers a flexible solution to meet personal obligations and commitments. The feeling of mutual trust between employers and employees but also among employees should however be addressed as a priority to ensure a successful transition to long-term remote working.“
