In late February 2024, two regional media outlets in northern Slovakia — My Žilina and Žilinský večerník — published articles presenting the WinWin4WorkLife (WW4WL) project and its focus on remote work in Slovakia.

The articles highlight how remote work can contribute to regional development and help address challenges such as talent retention and brain drain, particularly outside major urban centres. They introduce the Slovak case study led by the University of Žilina (UNIZA), which examines how flexible work arrangements may allow people to remain employed while continuing to live in smaller cities and rural areas.

The coverage also draws on findings from Trexima Bratislava, which contributed to the project by conducting the employer survey in Slovakia, providing insights into companies’ remote work practices, productivity, and recruitment strategies.

My Žilina is a regional online news platform covering social, economic, and labour market issues in the Žilina region, while Žilinský večerník is a long-established regional weekly newspaper reporting on local development, society, and public affairs.
