As summer break approached, the WinWin4WorkLife project organised a Virtual Café dedicated to a key question: how can we make sure that time off really means time off?

The session took place on 17 June 2026, from 13:30 to 15:00 CET, and focused on:

The Right to Disconnect: Disconnecting from work during summer break

Together with experts and participants, we explored how remote working arrangements can affect employees’ ability to disconnect, set boundaries, prevent burnout and protect well-being during vacation periods.

The session included:
🔹 Insights from the WinWin4WorkLife project
🔹 Expert input on remote work, mental health and the right to disconnect
🔹 Practical strategies for employees and organisations
🔹 An interactive discussion to share experiences and good practices

The Virtual Café brought together researchers, policymakers, employers, employees and people interested in the future of work to exchange ideas and reflect on healthier ways of working.
